GRACE

Someone asked about the role of Grace in the process of Self-Realization.

I replied:

All personal effort starts from the illusionary personal 'I'. It is not an entity really but a composite of all experiences and its reaction towards it in self-defense. Still, this self is a reflection of the true Self, the unborn 'I': that is why Bhagavan talks about grace which is nothing but the magnetic attraction of the true Self. Because the ego self lives and thrives by doing, it can never reach the eternal Self. Only when it relaxes and surrenders to the Source it can be taken in.
